FOSTERS | Oren Keith Wiley, age 90, of Fosters, died March 22, 2015, at Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Grants Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Griffin and Pastor Don Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to services at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John I. Wiley and Lucille Byars Wiley and brothers, J. B. Wiley and James (Red) Wiley.Survivors include his wife, Vivian Wiley; daughters, Hettie Eckstein (Randall), Renee Hammitt and Lynda DeRossett (Tony); sons, Michael Wiley (Lisa) and Robert Powell (Risa); brothers, Marx Wiley (Aline), Bob Wiley (Jean), Bill Wiley (Earline) and Butch Wiley (Dee); grandchildren, Ryan DeRossett, Casey DeRossett, Jennifer Reed, Gary Eckstein, Keith Wiley, Sarah Wiley, Tiffany Powell and Chrystina Prindle. Oren was born in Lawrence County, the son of a farmer and grandson of a minister. He volunteered to join the war effort in WWII as a Marine. Soon after being deployed, he was wounded on the island of Saipan in the Pacific Theater. He had a long productive life. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He was involved with his church, family and community. He will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and nephews.Honorary pallbearers are Gene Clements, Bobby Christian, Aubrey Joe Rouse, Bobby Beck, Willie Roger, Members of GCBC class and employees of TVAMC Patriots Points, CLC.
