DUNCANVILLE - Kelley Gene Laminack, age 75, of Duncanville, died Saturday, August 5, 2017, at home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Molee Laminack; his brother, Edward Laminack; and his sister, Clara Laminack Casey.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Linda Deslattes Laminack; his son, K. Gene Laminack (Connie); daughter, Tracy Slough (Steve); grandchildren Alex Laminack (Kristy), John Henry Laminack, Sarah Slough, Maggie Slough; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Molee Laminack; his brother, Edward Laminack; and his sister, Clara Laminack Casey.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Linda Deslattes Laminack; his son, K. Gene Laminack (Connie); daughter, Tracy Slough (Steve); grandchildren Alex Laminack (Kristy), John Henry Laminack, Sarah Slough, Maggie Slough; numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
Kelley was born on October 19, 1941 in Haralson County, Georgia, and lived his early years in Cleburne County, Alabama. A graduate of the Alabama School of Trades in Gadsden, Alabama, he enjoyed a long career as an engineer, store manager, real estate investor, farmer and entrepreneur. He moved to Tuscaloosa County in 1980.
Kelley worked hard and enjoyed a simple retirement on his farm, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends.
A funeral service will be held August 8, 2017, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home at 12 noon. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Alex Laminack and John Henry Laminack; son-in-law, Steve Slough; brothers-in-law, Doug Deslattes and Ross Scozzaro; nephew, Matt Winslow; and his close friend, Reuben Marcum.
Honorary pallbearers are Neighbors of Sleepy Hollow Road and The Breakfast Club at the Duncanville Chevron.
